Manage all offshore heavy lifts and non?routine installation activities involving topsides, jackets, pipelines, umbilicals, risers, and critical subsea components
Ensure all lifting engineering, offshore coordination, mobilization, and associated activities comply with approved scope, engineering requirements, and safety and quality standards
Provide guidance to contractors to ensure execution follows approved method statements, schedules, materials requirements, and project quality expectations
Review, comment on, and approve contractor construction engineering documents, including 3D models
Participate in engineering workshops such as Constructability Reviews, SIMOPS, Schedule Risk Analysis, Model Reviews, HAZOP, and Lifting Plan reviews
Act as the focal point for all lifting?related activities, coordinating with internal teams, external contractors, and third?party agencies
Support engineering reviews during both FEED and EPC/EPIC stages
Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment allocation, and progress, and report any deviations or concerns
Identify construction risk events, propose mitigation measures, and ensure these measures are implemented
Coordinate closely with discipline engineers on all lifting?related issues throughout engineering, procurement, and construction phases
Review all contractor lifting plans, method statements, certificates, schedules, and procedures for compliance with project requirements
Maintain detailed daily progress records and report anomalies or deviations with recommended corrective actions
Manage work permits to ensure contractor compliance with all safety and procedural conditions
Collaborate with other projects, departments, operations teams, and relevant stakeholders to resolve lifting?related issues
Contribute to development and improvement of corporate standards, specifications, and guidelines related to lifting operations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma, or Diploma in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized institution
Additional relevant training in Safety, Quality Control, and Construction
Strong computer literacy and excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Solid command of English language
Strong knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety, and environmental practices
Proven ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules, and technical drawings
Strong problem?solving skills with the ability to identify bottlenecks and propose practical solutions
Ability to supervise and work effectively with a multi?national, multi?cultural workforce
10–12 years of experience coordinating and supervising offshore heavy lifts, non?routine lifts, and installation activities for major engineering projects
Background in offshore structures such as topsides, jackets, subsea installations, pipelines, umbilicals, risers, skids, and tie?in spools
Experience reviewing and approving contractor lifting plans, certificates, method statements, and load?out operations
Strong experience in FEED and EPC/EPIC project phases, with capability to review and approve contractor deliverables
