As a Lift Experience Team Member, you’ll be at the heart of the mountain experience—welcoming guests, ensuring their safety, and helping them access world-class terrain with ease and enthusiasm. Whether you're scanning tickets or operating lifts, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the integrity of our products. In the lift maze, you’ll greet guests with a smile and validate their access. As a Lift Operator, you’ll safely operate multi-million-dollar machinery while ensuring smooth and efficient travel for guests and teammates alike.
Job Responsibility:
Positions available include Scanners and Operators for both valley and learning area locations. You will be mainly Scanning or Operating Gondolas and Carpets
Provide exceptional guest service by offering helpful information and assistance with a friendly attitude
Validate lift tickets to ensure each guest has a valid product before boarding
Collaborate with other teams to manage lift lines safely and load lifts efficiently
Maintain and secure departmental equipment such as scanning devices
Promptly escalate any issues to leadership, including safety concerns or ticketing problems
Monitor passenger safety continuously while offering guidance during the loading and unloading on the Gondolas and Carpets
Report any repair or maintenance needs to the alpine office dispatch proactively
Partner with the Lift Maintenance team to understand proper operation procedures for Gondolas and Carpets in your zone
Follow emergency protocols when necessary, including contacting Patrol
Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures
Keep lift shacks and work areas clean and safe
remove trash as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be able to communicate fluently in English
Ability to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving for entire shift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces
May need to provide some of their own gear
Adherence to safety standards and procedures
No experience is necessary, we train all lift operators (including returnees)
Must be able to make quick decisions/use considerable judgment regarding safety as well as multitask and anticipate issues
Must be physically capable of assisting guests while loading lifts
may lift up to 40 lbs
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
Must be able to handle high guest volumes in a professional manner
Must be willing to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of the assigned area, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends
