LIFESTYLE SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER - CHORLEY AREA. Exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Lifestyle Senior to join an established organisation near Chorley who provide support to adults with learning and physical disabilities. We are proud to work in partnership with them, and we seek a skilled individual who is passionate about providing high quality of care and support and who has experience and knowledge of delivering learning and activities to vulnerable people. THE ROLE: You will be responsible in supporting to develop and run activity sessions both large and small including sensory drama, music, art/craft, gardening, hydro, and sensory story for adults with profound learning disability. Monitoring activities and ensuring appropriate records are completed including writing detailed reviews. Supporting and training staff during activity sessions. Organising and maintaining activity equipment. Attending signing group and other communication meetings where required. Deliver these groups to all areas of the business within the residential and supported living services. This role is permanent, 35 hours per week and based on a Monday to Friday working week.
Job Responsibility

Requirements
Knowledge of and the ability to understand the needs of people with severe learning disabilities, including communication needs
Knowledge and understanding of person-centred approach to care
Knowledge and understanding of autism
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team
Good literacy and organisational skills with a flexible and creative approach
Full drivers licence is essential
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferable
Experience of working in a similar role is preferable
Experience of delivering activity sessions to vulnerable groups
Ability to liaise effectively with people being supported and those within the team
Nice to have
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
