Lifeguard

• Patrols and observes swimming pool areas, deck, and bathhouse
• Performs rescues and utilizes his/her Professional Rescuer and Lifeguard training skills in both routine and emergency situations
• Enforces facility rules and regulations for the safety and convenience of the public
• Assists in the cleaning and upkeep of the pool bathhouse, pool, deck area, and surrounding park areas to include but not limited to skimming, vacuuming and/or sweeping the pool and pool area
• Perform work outside in varying summer weather conditions
• Cleaning restroom facilities
• picking up trash in and around the pool and park area
• pulling weeds and mowing the grass in and around the pool area
• Painting & maintaining a deck area
• checking and recording daily chemical levels of the pool
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and community members
• Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications
• Must pass background check, physical, and pre-employment drug screen

Experience as a lifeguard is preferred, but not required
