This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Europe’s largest patent and trade mark practices. You’ll work on a broad range of technologies across the Biotech and Chemical Life Sciences space, advising innovative clients ranging from start-ups to global life sciences companies. This role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to work on complex, commercially important Life Sciences innovations.
Job Responsibility:
Drafting and prosecuting Life Sciences Patent applications
Preparing and handling matters relating to office action responses
Working autonomously and as part of a team on EPO oppositions and appeals
Advising clients on IP strategy and portfolio development, utilising your expect patent portfolio management skills
Liaising with internal cross office teams, external stakeholders, clients and overseas attorneys
Requirements:
Dual qualified Patent Attorney (European and Chartered UK)
Have at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience
Have a strong academic background in a Life Sciences related discipline
Have experience in biotech and/or chemical patent work
Enjoy working collaboratively within a close-knit and high-performing team
Demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail
Nice to have:
A knowledge of Biochemistry and/or Bioinformatics will be considered advantageous
