Life Sciences Field Service Engineer. Surrey. Salary/Rate: £37,000-40,000. Do you have service engineering experience working in a Life Science or Healthcare environment? Do you have expertise in clean rooms and biocontainment? Are you looking for an exciting and unique challenge with a rapidly growing business? Our client are a specialist life science and healthcare company who work with a range of clients including universities, pharmaceutical manufacturers and the NHS. They provide expert advice and knowledge in relation to clean room environments, biocontainment and laboratory set-up, providing a high level of service in order to support their clients achieve their goals with relation to establishing new laboratories and expanding existing ones. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their team.
Job Responsibility:
Testing and validation at client sites across the UK and Ireland
Calibration of instruments and gauges
Fault finding and troubleshooting
Site surveys and feasibility reports
Delivery of client training for operations and maintenance
Provide on-site and remote support for test equipment
Provide daily updates on works to the operations team and ensure all company policies, procedures are adhered to and that all Health & Safety requirements are always met
Requirements:
Qualified to Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent
Hold qualifications in HVAC or related equipment in laboratories within the pharmaceutical and life science sectors
Based near and commutable to London
Have a high standard of literacy and numeracy
Qualified or be time-served in related engineering discipline preferably within life science and healthcare sectors
Experienced in installation, commissioning and service of building service and equipment in laboratories
Demonstrated ability to use instrumentation such as manometers, anemometers, bolometers, sound level meters and temperature and humidity meters
Be able to work effectively as part of a team
Be highly organised and with strong attention to detail
Be a confident user of IT and in particular Microsoft Office Packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
