Job Description:

YMCA Heart of England is a Christian charity providing life-changing services for the local community. The role involves supporting the organisation's mission to house and support young people, many of whom were previously homeless.

Job Responsibility:

  • Effectively access and implement a programme of support within the Adult Social Care framework
  • Assist in the processing and assessment of applications to be housed at the scheme
  • Conduct void checks
  • Support the team to deliver a high-quality rent collection and arrears recovery service
  • Ensure accurate records are kept on each tenant using internal support and housing management system
  • Handle resident issues, such as anti-social behaviour

Requirements:

  • Experience in housing management or supported housing
  • Experience in income management or debt recovery/collection (preferably in a social housing environment)
  • Working knowledge of housing issues and legislation, particularly pertaining to homelessness
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, question and influence when needed
