Exciting opportunity for a passionate life actuary to move into business development. Are you a curious, analytical life actuary, ready to broaden your horizons beyond traditional actuarial boundaries? Then this is a unique opportunity to step into the commercial heart of a global reinsurer, joining its Business Development team where you will be encouraged to draw on your passion for change and creativity in order to support the firm's current journey of transformation. A genuine people-person with excellent communication skills, you will build trusted relationships with clients, taking the lead on the delivery of tenders following agreed processes and client needs. You will also implement new business for allocated clients, ensuring a smooth operation of reinsurance relationships, while assisting in the delivery of technical services to clients, such as experience analysis and optimisation. With proven experience in the life (re)insurance market, the successful candidate will possess experience of the pricing and risk factors associated with the major individual protection benefits available in the UK market. While previous business development experience is not required, the ability to think outside of the box, coupled with strong collaborative, interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills, are essential. We’re especially passionate about supporting women in actuarial and reinsurance careers and we actively encourage women with actuarial backgrounds to explore this career-defining move into business development.
