Job Description

Locum Licensing Lawyer – Local Authority (Scotland). We are currently working with a Local Authority in Scotland who are seeking an experienced Locum Licensing Lawyer to join them on an initial 6 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy legal team during a key period, providing essential cover across a varied licensing caseload.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing a broad range of licensing matters
  • Handling licensing queries and complaints
  • Preparing reports and documentation for the Licensing Board
  • Providing legal support in relation to regulatory matters
  • Attending committees, including regulatory committees and Licensing Board meetings
  • Committee attendance will form a key part of the role, with meetings typically held every other Tuesday and on the last Friday of each month

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with prior experience in licensing law
  • Previous local authority experience is highly desirable
