Job Description

We are seeking a Licensing Engineer to join our Development team, supporting the evaluation, licensing, and permitting of renewable energy projects (mainly solar and wind). The ideal candidate will combine strong technical understanding with development experience and a good grasp of the transactional and commercial aspects of renewable projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Evaluate renewable energy projects (technical and regulatory feasibility, site assessment, permitting risks)
  • Coordinate and manage all licensing and permitting activities for renewable energy projects in collaboration with external consultants and public authorities
  • Support the development phase of projects, ensuring all approvals and documentation are in line with national and EU regulations
  • Collaborate with engineering, environmental, and legal teams to ensure project compliance with local legislation and internal standards
  • Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and assess their impact on the company’s project portfolio
  • Participate in due diligence and transaction support activities, providing technical input where required
  • Prepare reports and presentations related to project status, licensing progress, and risk assessment
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, consultants, and landowners

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in renewable energy project development (solar, wind, or hybrid)
  • Proven experience in licensing/permitting procedures for energy projects in Greece
  • Good understanding of project economics, transactions, and regulatory frameworks in the renewable sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken)
