The Home Health Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct patient care in a patient’s place of residence under the direction/supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides nursing care within the scope of practice for licensed vocational nursing and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice. Demonstrates performance consistent with the PIH Health vision of Patients First.

Requirements:
Current California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing
A minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably in an acute care facility with a medical-surgical background
Current CPR card
Current California driver's license and valid auto insurance
Ability to work well with others, ability to organize and make effective use of time
With consideration to age, utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational and environmental needs to patient/significant others when administering care
Competent to complete basic nursing procedures
Cognizant of home health standards and practices
Computer skills and ability to navigate an electronic health record
