Job Description:

The Licensed Trailer Mechanic will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Mechanics, and the other Trailer Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.

Job Responsibility:

  • Trailer Maintenance: working safely and performing preventative maintenance on all trailers in the fleet. This includes diagnosing problems found during inspections and proscribing the correct remedial action
  • Trailer Repairs: performing repairs diagnosed during the pre/post-trip or quick check inspection and preventative maintenance
  • Other: entering work orders, shop cleaning, attending team meetings, and other miscellaneous repairs on Bison equipment

Requirements:

  • A certified Journeyman Trailer Technician or 2-3 year's experience
  • A CVIP license is mandatory with experience to perform Safety inspections
  • Must have a valid class 5 driver's license
  • Demonstrated diagnosing and time‐management abilities will be key to your success in this position
