Job Description:

Ancillary Nurse position with Minute Clinic supporting all clinics in regional south suburban Chicago area. Under the leadership of a Minute Clinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, the ancillary nurse will promote evidence-based practice and perform clinical services including patient registration, phlebotomy, vaccine injection, vital signs, and diagnostic tests.

Job Responsibility:

Patient registration and intake
Assisting with wait room management
Phlebotomy and specimen collection services
Vaccine injection
Patient assessment activities during intake such as vital signs
Performing diagnostic tests
Equipment ordering and preparing the clinic
Float LVN to cover all clinics based on business needs

Requirements:

LPN/LVN License must be full, active and unrestricted in the State for which you are applying
Experience with documentation of care, medication administration, infection control precautions, assessing patient educational needs, physical assessment, obtaining vital signs, performing point of care testing and care coordination

Nice to have:

Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Room
Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Previous phlebotomy experience
