As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide compassionate nursing care to our residents, under the direction of a physician or Registered Nurse. Every day, you will assess resident needs and deliver essential physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you will exhibit genuine compassion for patient well-being, an understanding of your critical role in ensuring their comfort, and the patience to explain procedures, answer questions, and maintain accurate documentation. Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practitioner follows the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
Job Responsibility:
Provide compassionate nursing care to residents, under the direction of a physician or Registered Nurse
Assess resident needs and deliver essential physical or psychosocial care
Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
Contribute to the RN initial assessment and may perform re-assessment
Participate in the development and modification of the plan of care
Implement and/or modify the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice
Use a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals
Document all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record
Requirements:
Graduate of a LPN nursing program, upon hire
Licensed Practical Nurse: IA, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Expanded IV Therapy Course, within 12 - months
