Job Description

Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center is in search of an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for our Rural Health Clinic. Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center is a hospital dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare to the Hope, Arkansas community and surrounding areas. We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services, as well as a 24-hour emergency department, an inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit, physical therapy, inpatient pharmacy services, and a Rural Health Clinic.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, health histories, and screenings
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
  • Document patient interactions and clinical data in electronic health records (EHR)
  • Monitor and manage chronic disease patients in collaboration with care teams
  • Triage patients via phone and in-person to determine urgency and appropriate care
  • Ensure infection control and safety procedures are followed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic meetings
  • Submit prior authorizations and referrals
  • Coordinate prescription refills

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • BLS upon Hire
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
  • Ability to work independently and part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
