Job Description:

Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center is in search of an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for our Gero Psych unit. Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center is a hospital dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare to the Hope, Arkansas community and surrounding areas. We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services, as well as a 24-hour emergency department, an inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit, physical therapy, inpatient pharmacy services, and a Rural Health Clinic.

Job Responsibility:

  • Utilizes knowledge, skill and judgment in providing direct and indirect patient care
  • Participates in patient/family/staff education
  • Provides safe practices in all aspects of patient care activities
  • Maintains current knowledge and standards of professional nursing practice
  • When assigned and according to hospital policy, will perform observation of patients who are at risk for injury secondary to suicide, falls, or other risks
  • All other duties required by Management

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Includes family members when requested by residents or when otherwise appropriate
  • Implements treatments and other elements of care prescribed by a physician’s order or by the primary care provider
  • Maintains competency in Point of Care (CLIA-waived) Testing conducted in the Health & Wellness Center
