Job Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse Float at CVS Health's MinuteClinic, you'll be an important member of the clinical team providing affordable, accessible comprehensive high-quality care that meets the needs of patients. You'll be empowered to provide holistic patient care to your community with support and collaboration. This position floats between multiple locations: Cumming-Post Road, Roswell, Woodstock and Canton-Sixies Road.

Job Responsibility:

Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services
Administer vaccine injections
Assess patients during intake
Take vital signs
Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG, Retinopathy screening
Perform Point of care testing (including COVID testing)
Perform patient registration and intake
Assist with wait room management
Order equipment and prepare the clinic for the best patient experience
Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems
Provide health counseling and disposition planning
Administer immunizations and injections
Provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education

Requirements:

Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting
Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record
Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws and perform Point of Care Testing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol is required
Graduate of a school of Practical or Vocational Nursing, approved by the State Agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing
Full, active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia

Nice to have:

Phlebotomy Certificate or phlebotomy experience
Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Room
