Job Description:

Licensed Pharmacist responsible for dispensing medications and ensuring safe, accurate pharmaceutical care in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting. Work schedule - rotating 8.5-hour shifts between 7:00 AM–7:30 PM; initial training schedule 8:00–4:30.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosing, interactions, and compliance
  • Supervise preparation, packaging, labeling, and dispensing of medications
  • Provide medication counseling on usage, storage, and side effects
  • Maintain controlled substance security, quality assurance, and hazardous waste disposal

Requirements:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist License
  • Internship/One year of recent retail pharmacy experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience in high-volume retail pharmacy operations
  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems and regulatory standards
