Job Description

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will share our vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care and will thrive in an environment driven by our core values: authenticity, humor, compassion, creativity, acceptance, and determination. Ideally, you’ll bring some clients of your own then we’ll help you grow your caseload to full-time.

Job Responsibility

  • Evaluate mental health diagnoses, then create and implement a treatment plan
  • Complete ongoing documentation (including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes) in a timely manner
  • Provide excellent care, utilizing creativity to help clients achieve and exceed their goals
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to fill gaps in mental healthcare
  • Coordinate with case managers, families, and other personnel as needed
  • Attend and participate in bi-weekly clinical staff meetings and trainings
  • Maintain at least 25 client hours per week

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or higher in behavioral sciences or a related field
  • License to practice therapy in the state of Michigan (LCSW, LLMSW, LPC, LMFT, LP, et. al.)
  • Experience completing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and clinical notes
  • Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven record of meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Comfort working with a diverse group of clients & colleagues
  • Adaptability, creativity, and flexibility
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications: Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams (preferred)

Nice to have

  • Post-grad training in an EBP (such as DBT, CBT, EMDR, etc.)
  • A great sense of humor
  • Experience with elementary aged children and couples
