Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing, licensed by the states in which you are assigned
Minimum of three (3) years of senior living experience in a leadership role
Previous experience as a Director of Health and Wellness in an Assisted Living or Memory Care environment
BLS Certification required
Experience supporting multi-state operations preferred
Strong knowledge of assisted living and memory care regulations, clinical practices, and quality standards

Job Responsibility

Provide guidance to community clinical teams to ensure consistent, high-quality resident care in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
Support and supplement the Director of Health and Wellness during vacancies or as assigned for special projects
Execute departmental goals, objectives, and policies while monitoring key performance metrics
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and organizational standards
Track regulatory outcomes, identify trends, and collaborate on corrective or performance improvement plans
Participate in the review of incidents, accidents, and clinical risk scenarios to safeguard residents and mitigate liability
Lead and educate teams on infection control and prevention programs
Guide communities through communicable disease management and reporting to health departments as required
Conduct quality rounds and compliance audits

Job Responsibility

The Life Guidance Director ensures that the Company’s philosophy is implemented and practiced within the Life Guidance neighborhood of the community
Maintain a positive and energetic environment for residents with dementia
Manage and supervise clinical and non-clinical Life Guidance (LG) staff, including the LGRSA and LGPS
Properly schedule and delegate assignments, provide direction, complete performance reviews (including input on pay adjustments), recruit, hire, and provide corrective action consistent with company policy, as well as provide support, direction, feedback, and training for such staff
Properly schedule clinical and non-clinical staff for their proper shifts
Execute and organize the daily programs for the Life Guidance neighborhood, including all required programs in the daily calendar of events, and ensure it is being implemented twenty-four (24) hours a day and seven (7) days a week
Work with the Support Center to provide community-specific programming options
