Join our facilities team as a Licensed Electrician where you'll serve as the primary electrical subject matter expert for a multi-building commercial portfolio. This role combines advanced technical expertise with strategic thinking to ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant electrical infrastructure operations. You'll work with high autonomy, supporting complex distribution systems while contributing to long-term asset performance and operational excellence. Job Responsibility:
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of commercial electrical systems including single- and three-phase systems up to 480V, panels, transformers, lighting systems, and motor controls
Execute preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment, emergency power systems, ATS's, generators, and lighting systems to ensure optimal performance
Support electrical projects including running new feeds, installing panels, powering new equipment, and coordinating with contractors on complex installations
Complete work orders in JLL's CMMS platform while maintaining accurate documentation of labor, materials, and system conditions to meet Service Level Agreements
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring failures and proactively identify infrastructure risks to recommend sustainable repair or capital replacement strategies
Provide cross-functional support for light plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical tasks while collaborating with Facilities and Engineering teams
Ensure strict compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, and JLL safety policies including proper Lockout/Tagout procedures
Requirements:
Valid Electrical License – State of Texas (Journeyman or equivalent)
5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience with strong knowledge of NEC requirements and Texas regulations
Advanced troubleshooting capability in electrical distribution systems (208V/480V), motor controls, transformers, and emergency/life-safety systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, and construction drawings
Experience operating within a CMMS-based maintenance environment with strong understanding of electrical safety and LOTO procedures
Physical ability to climb ladders, work at heights up to 20 feet, operate scissor lifts, and lift up to 50 lbs
Nice to have:
Level 1 and Level 2 Thermography certifications
Experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or mission-critical environments
Familiarity with VFDs, UPS's, STS's, PDU's, automation controls, and power quality diagnostics
Experience supporting capital projects and contractor oversight in active commercial or industrial environments
