Job Description:

The OPRI team is responsible for determining if health care facilities regulated by DQA meet the physical environment standards of the State Building Code, State Licensure Code, and Federal Life Safety Code requirements. Evaluation is accomplished through construction document review, onsite review, and health care facility physical environment performance inspection.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review construction plans, survey and evaluate long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities and other health care facilities to ensure the quality, appropriateness, and compliance of buildings with federal and state regulations
  • Advise and educate appropriately during review, construction, and under survey focusing on certification and licensure of these facilities

Requirements:

  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the time of appointment as an Architect or Professional Engineer by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
  • Experience with building and construction regulations, codes, and standards
  • Experience in a design, inspection, construction project lead or commission capacity related to commercial buildings, systems, or components
