The Library Support Officer provides consistently exceptional customer service and essential operational support within the library network. This role is responsible for assisting a diverse community in accessing digital resources, technology, and facilities while ensuring the efficient delivery of routine tasks in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibility:
Provide routine information and assist a diverse range of people with their enquiries in a friendly, respectful, and supportive way
Guide visitors in the basic use of digital and technology resources, including self-service facilities
Contribute to service delivery by undertaking tasks such as shelving and the checking in and out of items
Assist with memberships, bookings, reservations, collection lists, and item repairs
Effectively operate computer systems, including specialised management software and standard office applications
Actively contribute to teamwork through staff meetings and by building professional working relationships
Maintain personal safety and the safety of others by adhering to health and safety obligations and organisational policies
