Job Description:

Buckinghamshire Libraries are looking for a passionate Library Resources Officer to join our welcoming team in the Buckingham area, supporting both Buckingham Library and Winslow Community Library. This is a customer-facing role which will require you to be present at a specific site location each day. You’ll work in a team with shared goals and ambitions, with a focus on customer service and building partnerships with local organisations and community groups.

Job Responsibility:

  • Directly deliver library services to customers and resolve complex enquiries
  • Be responsible for opening and closing the library, ensuring the building is in good order and carrying out regular health and safety checks
  • Work with service colleagues to maintain a diary of planned activities and partner events to develop the library as a community hub
  • Be proactive in marketing and monitoring the use of Library Flex including training library customers in its use
  • Support in delivering the library service, resolve complex customer enquiries, maintain stock and work with and supervise a group of volunteers
