You will be passionate about enabling reading and providing access to information through print and online e-collections. Duties include assisting with public enquiries and issuing, return and shelving books and working collaboratively with team members to deliver wider library services, programmes and events including Library to You outreach book delivery and digital literacy skills. You will require a full driver's licence, computer and cash handling skills, be able to cope with regular lifting and standing for lengthy periods. You need to be able to stay calm under pressure and have the ability and skills to resolve difficult and sometimes stressful situations. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Applicants must be prepared to undergo specialised training to enable confidence in handling the variety of enquiries encountered when assisting our diverse customer needs.
