Job Description:

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Library Administrator – Basha Library. The position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends on a rotational basis with branch staff.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaboratively engage as a critical member of the library leadership team
  • Supervise and oversee daily library branch operations
  • Coordinate assigned library services and ensures the provision of excellent services to library patrons

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in library science or related Degree
  • 5 years of general library experience with 1 year of supervisory experience
  • A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree in library science or related Degree
  • 3 years of department/branch leadership experience in a public library
  • Experience in youth, teen and adult library programming or education
