Job Description:

Responsible for managing liability underwriting services in Japan, collaborating with brokers and clients, and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines. The role involves risk assessment, policy management, strategy development, and contribution to product implementation.

Job Responsibility:

Execute and support both local and global Line of Business (LoB) strategies
Manage the local LoB portfolio to meet global targets
Develop strong relationships with brokers and clients for collaboration and growth
Implement local underwriting strategies and assist in global strategy development
Steer and control the local LoB portfolio to achieve financial targets
Drive underwriting planning and monitor adherence, taking corrective actions as needed
Collaborate with functional areas to review the underwriting life cycle performance
Ensure underwriting consistency and compliance with corporate guidelines and regulatory frameworks
Handle referral/case underwriting for key clients as needed
Support product development and implementation, including pricing tools
Communicate local LoB strategy externally and represent Allianz positively
Drive involvement of functional areas in the underwriting process

Requirements:

Demonstrate expertise in underwriting with a focus on risk assessment and management
Apply evaluation and measurement skills within sales and distribution contexts
Manage policy and handle underwriting processes efficiently
Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills
Communicate effectively in Japanese
Possess proficiency in English language communication
Utilize influencing skills to persuade and motivate others to take action
Employ analytical skills to assess and interpret complex data
A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential
