Job Description:

We are currently recruiting an LGV Driver to join our client in Larne, working on behalf of our client, Mid and East Antrim.

Job Responsibility:

Perform pre-use vehicle checks and submit reports to the line manager
Drive vehicles legally and safely, using tachographs as required by transport legislation
Assess driving conditions regularly, especially in severe weather, to ensure public and employee safety
Operate and monitor on-board systems (e.g. weighing, telematics, safety devices) according to procedures
Report accidents, breakdowns, and near misses promptly, including any damage, and complete necessary documentation
Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance, including power mechanisms and weekly weighbridge/sump cleaning, using PPE
Check and maintain fuel, oil, and water levels at the start and end of each shift
Ensure vehicle is roadworthy and emptied before parking, or report remaining waste
Deposit waste and recyclables at designated facilities, using the weighbridge when needed
Operate sweepers to clear litter, leaves, and debris from public areas
Assist with loading/unloading vehicles, using mechanical aids when necessary

Requirements:

Valid Category C LGV Licence
CPC Card
1+ year continuous LGV driving experience
Pass driving assessment
Declare any active penalty points (codes assessed for role relevance)
