Job Description:

Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd is looking for an LGV Driver to join the team at the Malvern Branch. The role involves multi-drop deliveries, ensuring exceptional customer service, health and safety compliance, and being a flexible, multi-skilled team member.

Job Responsibility:

Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to customers
Ensuring the customer receives exceptional service every time
Guaranteeing Health and Safety compliance
Ensuring you remain sales and results focused
Being the friendly face of the business ensuring customer deliveries are carried out on time, in full
Making sure that your vehicle is loaded safely
Understanding that you are responsible for the load while adhering to road transport and traffic legislation standards
Finding site leads and provide feedback from the customers back to the branch sales team
Providing support to the branch sales team when necessary

Requirements:

Full Class C UK Driving Licence

Drive vehicles legally and safely, using tachographs as required by transport legislation
Assess driving conditions regularly, especially in severe weather, to ensure public and employee safety
Operate and monitor on-board systems (e.g. weighing, telematics, safety devices) according to procedures
Report accidents, breakdowns, and near misses promptly, including any damage, and complete necessary documentation
Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance, including power mechanisms and weekly weighbridge/sump cleaning, using PPE
Check and maintain fuel, oil, and water levels at the start and end of each shift
Ensure vehicle is roadworthy and emptied before parking, or report remaining waste
Deposit waste and recyclables at designated facilities, using the weighbridge when needed
