The LGA pension team works with and on behalf of administering authorities of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) in England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. As part of the team, you will play an important role in the legislative and administrative framework of the largest funded pension scheme in the UK. We are looking for a high performing individual to work as part of the LGPS Training and Development Team. The successful candidate will develop, co-ordinate and deliver high quality training to pension administrators, scheme employers, councillors and local pension board members both in person and virtually. You will also assist in the delivery of an LGPS specific qualification. This will include writing course material and assessments, invigilating examinations, organising and delivering tutorials and liaising with the students.

Requirements:
Excellent knowledge and practical experience of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
Experience of delivering training in a variety of formats and to a range of stakeholders
Experience of providing LGPS technical support and communications to pension practitioners
Experience of independently managing a complex workload, planning projects and organising events
Excellent written skills, with the ability to accurately summarise and convey complex information
Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability quickly to learn new packages as required
