Our client, an elite US firm, is seeking a high-calibre Leveraged Finance associate to join its growing London team. This practice is widely recognised for advising on some of the most complex and innovative cross-border financing transactions in the European market. The London finance group advises banks, financial sponsors and corporate borrowers across the full spectrum of leveraged and acquisition finance. The team has deep expertise across all levels of the capital structure, including: Syndicated senior and second lien facilities; Private credit and ABL financings; Holdco PIK and fund financings. Beyond leveraged finance, the team is also active in infrastructure and real estate finance, restructuring and asset-backed financings. Working closely with colleagues across US, Europe and Asia, the team delivers fully integrated cross-border solutions. With few transactions being purely domestic, strong transaction management and coordination skills are essential. You will join a dynamic and fast-growing team, gaining exposure to a broad range of high-profile matters, with a particular focus on leveraged finance and digital infrastructure finance.
Job Responsibility:
Advising on market-leading, cross-border leveraged finance transactions
Drafting and negotiating commitment papers, loan agreements and intercreditor documentation
Working alongside high yield teams on integrated financing structures (e.g. bridge-to-bond)
Managing transactions and liaising with international stakeholders
Building client relationships and supporting business development efforts.
Requirements:
2+ PQE (up to Counsel level)
Experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, or related areas
Strong understanding of leveraged capital structures and loan products
Confidence leading drafting and negotiations
Solid grounding in English law security
Experience in infrastructure finance is advantageous, but not essential.
