Job Description:

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Level Designer to join the development of a new IP. Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining! As a member of the Content Design department, you’ll be crafting immersive, engaging, and visually compelling gameplay environments. You will be responsible for designing large-scale, open world levels for both single-player and cooperative game modes, ensuring they are fun, realistic, and aligned with the creative vision of the project.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with design leadership, artists, crafting unique spaces where gameplay flow and visual composition form memorable experiences
  • Designing, prototyping, implementing and polishing in-game spaces and content, including level geometry, enemy encounters and other gameplay activities, using our proprietary tools
  • Work within multi discipline teams to help create spaces for open world locations for a variety of quests and open world activities
  • Provide constructive feedback to peers and contribute to team-wide design discussions
  • Manage your own tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Communicate progress and challenges across disciplines

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a professional Level Designer (or some combination of applicable training and experience)
  • Experience with technical game design (implementation in tools, game logic, visual scripting, etc.)
  • Understanding and Execution of the fundamentals of Open World Level Design in modern game engines
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team and comfortable with self-critique and accepting outside feedback
  • Eagerness to work independently
  • are dedicated to taking ownership of tasks in a highly confidential environment
  • Creativity in problem solving with a mindful approach to putting the team first
  • Experience pitching level design concepts in a clear, detailed manner, through strong written and verbal skills

  • Experience in adjacent fields such as content design, narrative design, environment art, programming, etc.
