Job Description

Are you a qualified Early Years professional looking for a rewarding role within a supportive nursery environment? We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a well-established nursery setting in Eastbourne on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dedicated team that is committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children. The successful candidate will initially join on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following a successful 12-week period.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting children aged 0–5 with their learning, development, and daily routines
  • Delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
  • Observing, monitoring, and recording children’s progress and achievements
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development
  • Ensuring safeguarding and nursery policies are followed at all times

Requirements

  • A recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
