Job Responsibility
Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
Plan and support age‑appropriate, play‑based learning activities
Observe, assess, and contribute to children’s developmental records
Support children’s personal care, routines, and well‑being
Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistent routines
Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and early years policies at all times
Requirements
Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
Caring, patient, and nurturing approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and committed to a full‑time role
Willingness to start on a temporary basis with the aim of becoming permanent
Strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
