Prior Field Service Engineer experience

Job Responsibility

Install and service instrumentation with minimum direct supervision
Provide follow-up service by calling customers who have recently been provided service
Accurately maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical data
Complete service documentation
Maintain expense levels within the established guidelines for field service travel and sites visits
Report quality control and other technical problems
Accurately maintain and utilize company vehicle
Interface effectively with other departments and managers to resolve customer problems and issues
Accountable for providing support to customers that meet BD standards of outstanding quality service at all times
Accountable for Company issued credit cards, travel advances, company vehicle, trunk stock of spare, and repair parts

Make recommendations to customers for items that require repair/replacement
Follow customer’s plant and safety regulations while at their facility
Complete and submit detailed service and expense reports in a timely manner
Make follow-up calls with the customer to verify problems have been resolved and coordinate future calls
Facilitate warranty/non-warranty claims with the customer
Responsible for keeping up with current ATS products and equipment
