We are looking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious Early Years Assistant to join our exciting and growing Little Griffins Nursery. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in planning across the different age groups, build positive relationships within their highly skilled team and support us in expanding the nursery.
Job Responsibility:
Provide a safe, friendly, stimulating and productive environment
Provide exciting, interesting learning opportunities
Provide opportunities for fun and enjoyment
Follow the EYFS Framework
Support with planning for each week
Assist in any review of schemes of work
Assess and record pupils’ progress
Liaise with the Nursery Lead and SEND Teacher
Participate in Inset Days and training courses
Uphold a high standard of care
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Prepare reports for key children’s attainment
Maintain children’s records
Assist staff in carrying out observations and evaluations
Maintain personal contact with parents
Requirements:
Early Years Practitioner qualification such as CACHE Diploma in Child Care and Education, NVQ Level 3
Good knowledge of the EYFS Framework
Ability to build positive and meaningful relationships with children
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Professional, polite and positive in all verbal interactions
Commitment to develop and grow professionally
Excellent team player
Confident and capable practitioner
Confident and sensitive communicator with both adults and children
Committed to adhering to the school’s values and ethos
Display professionalism in all areas
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability and passion to ensure the delivery of superb care and education
Good standard of written, oral and IT skills
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Tapestry as a means of tracking pupil progress and communicating with parents
Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Knowledge/experience of the independent school system
