Job Description:

We're looking for Level 3 Early Years Educators to join us as Bank Staff. Flexible days and hours to suit all schedules, confirming availability 2-weeks in advance. Own transport is not essential but you do have to be able to travel to at least 3 nurseries within the Cherubs Nurseries group. Bank Early Years Educator, you will apply your in-depth knowledge and early years’ experience to cover staff shortages such as sickness, holidays and maternity/paternity leave as a set group of Cherubs Nurseries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver an amazing service for both children and families
  • Work as part of the Childcare Team
  • Ensure children’s environment and nursery is kept safe, secure and clean
  • Be a role model for the children
  • Ensure all toys, equipment and furniture is kept clean and in good working order
  • Assist in the supervision of meal times
  • Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover
  • Ensure up to date and compliant with all policies and procedures
  • Ensure paperwork is completed correctly, accurately and on-time
  • Complete Blossom for key children in the absence of their key person
  • Take pride in the rooms and nursery
  • Present yourself in a professional manner at all times
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained
  • Attend both in-house and external training
  • Complete all PLA training
  • Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities
  • Work under the direction of the Nursery Manager, Assistant Nursery Manager and Senior Early Years Educators
  • Ensure any information is shared with the relevant people
  • Establish and maintain friendly but professional relationships
  • Attend all staff events
  • Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of your duties

Requirements:

  • Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
  • GCSE Level Pass (4 or above) in both English and Maths
  • At least 2.5 years’ experience working in a childcare setting
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible working pattern
  • Willing to travel between a cluster of nurseries
  • Confident in ability to deliver high-quality childcare
  • Ability to form quick but effective bonds with children, parents and staff
