Job Responsibility

Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service for children and families
Ensure the children's environment and nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times
Be a role model for the children at all times
Work towards qualification in childcare, ensuring all targets are met and coursework is up to date
Assist in planning and delivery of activities (indoor and outdoor) to maintain children's interests and ensure development
Establish and maintain friendly but professional relationships with parents, staff and suppliers
Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings, summer fairs and training

Working in a childcare setting
May progress to a senior or supervisory role
Completion of Level 3 may progress onto further qualifications, including Level 5
If no grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE maths and English, required to complete Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and English

Job Responsibility

Assist in providing a safe environment for children
Assisting with daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery
Assist in ensuring the unit is clean and tidy and assist in meal preparation
Assist colleagues with developing and maintaining good relationships with local schools, charities and involvement with the community (e.g. parades, visiting care homes)
Taking children on trips out and assist on picking up from school
Able to support children’s behaviour and act as a role model
Support in ensuring the environment is stimulating and appropriate including layout, display of resources, displays and equal opportunities
