Job Description:

A friendly and supportive primary school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This long‑term opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. Job Responsibility:

  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a calm, inclusive learning environment
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within a primary school setting
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach
  • Ability to provide two education or school‑based references
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
