Job Description

Required from September 2026, the Governors of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dedicated and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our happy and hardworking team. The role is initially a one year fixed term contract with an extension possible. The successful candidate will be required to work 15.5 hours per week, 08:30 to 12:00 Wednesday, 08:30 - 15:30 Thursday & Friday.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

Qualified to at least Level 2 or equivalent
Has experience supporting children with SEND
Feels confident in own Maths / English skills appropriate to demands of all key stages
Shows initiative whilst also being able to work under the direction of the classteacher
Has a nurturing, enthusiastic manner with good communication skills
Is very positive and has a desire to succeed with children
Is calm and demonstrates good behaviour control
Works well as a team and is flexible

Requirements
