Job Description

Level 2 Teaching Assistant. Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve things they never thought possible? Working collaboratively as a multidisciplinary team, staff create a safe and supportive community where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Location: Bletchingley, Redhill, Surrey (RH1 3DB). Permanent | Full-Time | Term-Time Only. Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications). As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally throughout their school day. Working alongside teachers and a multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver engaging learning experiences while promoting positive behaviour, independence, and personal development.

Job Responsibility

  • Support pupils in accessing learning activities across the curriculum
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and understanding
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  • Encourage independence and personal growth
  • Assist with personal care when required
  • Monitor pupil wellbeing and provide feedback on progress and development
  • Support the teacher with classroom preparation, learning resources, and record keeping
  • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external professionals
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing school culture

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in UK
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
