We are looking for Level 2 swimming teachers to help provide the highest quality swimming lessons and aquatic sessions for people of all ages and abilities. We're looking for people with good communication skills who are able to deliver the Swim England 'Learn to Swim Programme'.
Job Responsibility:
Adhere to Health and Safety and Brio Leisure Operating Procedures
Check teaching environment is suitable and free of hazards
Allow time for 'set up' before lessons
Ensure safe use and storage of equipment
Contribute to prompt timekeeping of daily lesson programme
Teach a range of organised aquatic disciplines at appropriate levels
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Swim England 'Learn to Swim' programme
Apply the 'Brio Learn 2 Swim Scheme of Work'
Deliver swimming lessons in accordance with Swim England programme
Assume responsibility of a Level 1 'assistant teacher' where necessary
Demonstrate a range of teaching skills for communication, learning styles and feedback
Maintain participant weekly attendance registers
Update participant achievement records
Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Participate in self-assessment, peer observation, and Aquatics Lead observation
Liaise with participants, parents and Aquatics Lead
Carry out any other duties as requested by management
Requirements:
SEQ (Swim England Qualified) or equivalent Level 2 swimming teacher qualification
Preferably with an NPLQ or NRASTC qualification (not essential)
Good communication skills
Ability to deliver the Swim England 'Learn to Swim Programme'
Passionate and highly motivated
Love of swimming
Nice to have:
NPLQ or NRASTC qualification
