The business is seeking a technically capable IT professional to operate at Level 2 support, acting as a key escalation point within the internal IT function. This position involves taking ownership of more complex issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of IT services.
Job Responsibility:
Overseeing and prioritising support requests to ensure timely resolution in line with service expectations
Supporting and administering cloud platforms, including Microsoft 365 services such as collaboration, messaging, and document management tools
Maintaining both cloud and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring systems remain secure, stable, and efficient
Managing identity services and directory environments across hybrid setups
Supporting core networking components including connectivity, switching, and security infrastructure
Provisioning and maintaining end-user devices, ensuring optimal performance and user experience
Assisting with communication systems and ensuring their reliability
Producing and improving technical documentation to streamline processes and support knowledge sharing
Coordinating with external suppliers to resolve issues and maintain service quality
Participating in ongoing IT projects and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Several years of experience in IT support, including strong exposure at Level 2
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 administration across core applications
Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Azure-based services and endpoint management tools
Strong knowledge of directory services, user management, and policy configuration
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls
Experience supporting Windows Server environments
Proven ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues across hardware, software, and networks
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Nice to have:
Exposure to IT service management tools and ticketing systems
Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar)
Experience working within a consultancy, engineering, or professional services environment
