Working within a busy and collaborative Residential Lettings team, we are looking for a professional, personable and motivated person to join our team as a Lettings Negotiator. The successful candidate will be expected to work at the highest standard and be committed to delivering outstanding customer service to both tenants and landlords.
Job Responsibility:
Speaking with potential tenants, assessing what their exact needs and requirements are and building rapport
Promoting properties
Arranging and overseeing viewings of properties for potential tenants
Speaking with landlords and other parties involved in the rental
Answering queries from clients and potential clients via email, telephone
Negotiating between property owners and potential tenants to find a mutually beneficial agreement
Explaining the tenancy applications, referencing/progressing of application, arranging signing of agreements
Organising the payment of money due
Troubleshooting when problems arise
Keeping administrative systems up to date
Adhering to the relevant guidelines set by law at all times
Requirements:
Experience in lettings, property, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and sales abilities
Highly organized and able to manage a busy schedule with multiple deadlines
An interest in property and a strong desire to build a long-term career in the industry
A full UK driving licence is required for this role
Nice to have:
Familiarity with lettings legislation and property software is a plus
Knowledge of the local area would be a distinct advantage
