Job Description

We are seeking a hard working and dynamic Lettings Manager to join our team. As the Lettings Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lettings department, managing a team, and ensuring the successful listing and letting of properties. You’ll be responsible for generating new instructions, building landlord relationships, and growing a high-quality lettings portfolio. This role would suit an existing Lettings Manager or a Senior Negotiator/Lettings Lister, looking to to grow in a fast paced company.

Job Responsibility

  • Winning new lettings instructions and driving business growth
  • Conducting valuations and converting opportunities
  • Building and maintaining strong landlord relationships
  • Negotiating deals and progressing lets through to completion
  • Contributing to overall lettings strategy and performance
  • Lead and motivate the lettings team, ensuring they deliver excellent customer service and achieve targets
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to the lettings team, helping them develop their skills and improve performance
  • Allocate tasks, set objectives, and monitor team performance to ensure KPIs are met
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement strategies for continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, providing them with expert advice on rental yields, market trends, and property management
  • Work to expand the lettings portfolio by acquiring new business through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events
  • Proactively seek new clients and expand the business’s presence in the local market
  • Regularly communicate with landlords to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and manage expectations
  • Oversee the advertising of available properties, ensuring that listings are accurate, compelling, and up-to-date on all relevant platforms
  • Ensure the lettings process complies with all relevant legislation, including safety regulations, tenant rights, and property standards
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in lettings law and regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a lettings or property management role, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a senior or managerial capacity
  • In-depth knowledge of the lettings market, property management, and relevant industry legislation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • A full driving license and own car is required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in winning listings and generating new business
  • Strong valuation and conversion ability
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on results
  • Professional, credible, and confident approach
  • Self-motivated and driven
