Whether we build our own data centers, or lease data center space from third parties, our customers expect best in class services, 24 x 7, and 100% uptime. With this in mind, Microsoft recognizes our lessor community as our team, and our goal is to drive a seamless and standard operation across all data centers globally. As part of our drive to be the best, we are creating a new team to specifically focus on our lessor partnerships, to create a focused approach to our lessor performance management, and to drive a culture of lessor relationship improvements through analysis of current performance and identification and roll out of initiatives and programs to improve where needed. The team will be the conduit between the lessors and our internal subject matter experts, to manage our customer needs and to ensure 100% uptime during operations. Supporting our global leasing team, this team will work very closely within our LLD organisation, and partner with our CO+I teams as we solidify our lessor partnerships globally. The Lessor Relationship Managers must be strong communicators with the ability to influence others to achieve great things, with a blend of strong analytics & insight development, program management and data centre operations knowledge.

Job Responsibility

  • Reporting, analysis and insight identification of current lessor performance
  • Identify key insights from their region and provide key insights and recommendations, to enable the team to develop short and long-term improvement programs, aligning our needs, to drive ongoing enhancements in both lessor performance, and partnership between Microsoft and lessors
  • Work closely with our key lessors and identify gaps, proactively find solutions and develop and manage programs to completion
  • Support the leasing team with the Lessor Champion and Lessor Executive sponsor programs
  • Collate and develop briefing documents for lessor engagement sessions
  • Identify, organise and manage end-to-end key strategic rhythm of business sessions with lessors
  • Analysis to drive improvement
  • Support the leader in the development of a high impact strategy to improve our lessor performance where needed. Input to strategic white papers / PPTs etc. Analyse lessor performance and identify key insights, issues and areas for improvement, and develop and rollout programs locally, aligning to our global standards. Develop strong working relationships with our lessors and work closely with the global leasing team to influence lessors to engage on this journey
  • proactively identifying the best solutions to move forward with, and enable delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education in business or technical discipline
  • Proven ability to apply critical thinking in complex situations and to drive change where needed
  • Strong business acumen and mental agility to ramp quickly across our diverse business and offerings
  • Demonstrated ability working under pressure and deadlines, be able to work independently, with a strong ability to manage complexity while driving clarity
  • Demonstrated strong capability in reporting, verbal and written communications skills across a geographically dispersed audience to C-Suite level
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
