Job Description

Leading a tight-knit team of 5 lending specialists, with a clear directive to back your own judgment, use your initiative, and grow that team to around 8 by the end of the year. The role is a true player-coach position in a high-growth, zero corporate red tape financial services business.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of 5 lending specialists through one-on-ones, call observations, and role-plays
  • Personally handle complex or high-value files
  • Triage inbound enquiries and check loan applications before credit submission
  • Ensure team compliance with responsible lending guidelines (NCCP)
  • Identify capability gaps, design training sessions, and improve workflows

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in home lending, with at least 2 years spent leading a team or working in a senior, player-coach capacity
  • Full lifecycle knowledge from lead assessment to settlement
  • Strong credit assessment skills and understanding of responsible lending obligations under the NCCP Act
  • Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (or working towards it)
  • HubSpot CRM knowledge (bonus)
