The Wholesale Lending Data Project Manager/Business Analyst will be responsible for driving multiple significant projects within the Information Services Group (ISG/WL Tech) and Institutional Credit Mgmt (ICM) Product teams in support One Citi Data initiatives. These projects support the Wholesale Lending and Credit Risk service models as part of One Citi Data initiative with the focus on loans portfolio that fully supports, satisfies, and anticipates the data quality and reporting needs of the business and regulators. S/He will develop and manage medium to long term plans and execute functional strategies for complex front to back solutions requiring coordination across multiple functions and integration between systems in a sustainable, controlled manner. S/He will conduct data analysis, produce recommendations and provide input into strategic decisions affecting the various functions within a region or business. S/He will establish and maintain road maps / project plans and then drive deliverable execution by collaborating with multiple stakeholders across business and technology.

  • Manage large, transformative initiatives that impact multiple LOBs and/or products
  • define key outcomes for the project and ensure clear communication and agreement with relevant stakeholders
  • communicate closely with business and technology partners to granularly define requirements and create systemic and/or manual processes to define solutions to satisfy said requirements
  • lead the project end to end, driving solutions with evidence through the performance of data analysis activities utilizing Excel, SQL and/or Python
  • independently query data from multiple relational databases to validate requirements
  • define and own the resolution of issues by developing cross-functional technology solutions utilizing a strategy the candidate defined
  • hunt for the right solutions by collaborating with team members, technology partners, and business partners to identify efficient and strategic solutions
  • ensure continuous measurement and communication of progress throughout project execution
  • record meeting summaries and follow-up actions for distribution to relevant stakeholders
  • closely monitor project progress, ensure proper engagement and timely completion
  • identify potential risks and issues and establish corresponding mitigation plans
  • execute mitigation plans to achieve path to green and ensure prompt escalation where needed
  • own project management activities & generation of project reporting, including Enterprise PM tool (PTS-W) documentation
  • generate presentations for senior stakeholders on project/program status in collaboration with the ISG teams
  • utilize already-established baseline understanding of financial instruments to build on the knowledge necessary to complete the project at hand
  • provide functional support to drive continuous process improvement across the Loans area

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience executing and leading projects in Data or Business Analytics, Banking Consultancy, major Data Driven technology implementations or similar complex initiatives
  • experience working with financial data and baseline understanding of financial instruments, especially those related to loans
  • an understanding of credit risk management, financial & regulatory reporting
  • experience in an analytics or development role utilizing relational databases with SQL tools
  • experience working closely with IT and development teams
  • advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
  • foundational knowledge of Python a plus
