Job Description:

As part of the Atlas Family, you’ll play a key role in preparing the spa and wellness areas for members at the start of the day, ensuring everything is clean, safe and welcoming before opening. You’ll be inducted at the start of your contract, with Atlas providing full training within your first week. You’ll learn how to deliver the cleaning specification, safely use equipment, and communicate effectively with colleagues during shift handovers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering a high standard of cleaning in spa and wet-side areas, including changing rooms, showers, toilets, sauna and steam rooms, relaxation areas, corridors and reception spaces
  • Preparing the spa environment to be member-ready for opening, with a strong focus on hygiene and presentation
  • Handling site-based cleaning equipment and materials
  • Replenishing consumables such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper and bin liners
  • Emptying waste and recycling in line with site procedures
  • Ensuring cleaning is completed to the highest standards at all times, particularly in wet and high-use areas
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards at all times
  • Working as part of a supportive team that goes the extra mile

Requirements:

  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle or alternative means of reliable transport (due to location and limited public transport)
  • A positive attitude and ideally some cleaning experience (full training is provided)
  • The ability to carry out the physical aspects of the role in spa and leisure environments
  • A basic level of spoken English for health and safety communication and confidence when onsite
  • Good social skills to fit into the David Lloyd Leisure community and enhance members’ experience
  • The right to work in the UK (evidence required at interview)
