This role is all about delivering a safe, engaging and commercially successful leisure experience while leading a team to be at their best. You’ll work closely with the Leisure Club Manager, helping to lead the team, maintain high standards and ensure every member and guest has a positive, welcoming experience. You’ll play a key role in balancing service, safety and commercial performance, while developing your leadership capability in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Acting as the point of contact in the absence of the Leisure Club Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Supervising the leisure team, providing guidance, support and feedback to maintain high standards
Conducting member inductions and supporting group exercise programmes aligned to member needs
Ensuring the club is clean, safe and presented to a high standard at all times
Completing and overseeing daily, weekly and monthly health & safety checks
Supporting achievement of club KPIs including membership growth, retention and revenue targets
Managing cash handling processes, stock control and reporting in line with company procedures
Supporting marketing initiatives to drive new memberships and secondary revenue streams
Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, hygiene and pool plant standards
Supporting training, coaching and development of Leisure Assistants to build a strong team
Requirements
Experience in a leisure, fitness or hospitality supervisory role
Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with members and guests
Proactive and organised, able to manage multiple priorities
Commercial awareness, with an understanding of membership growth and revenue drivers
A calm and professional approach in a fast-paced environment
A commitment to health, safety and compliance standards
A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for the leisure industry
A First Aid qualification and a recognised fitness or leisure qualification (Level 2 or above)
